I am counting down the days until my trip next month because it could not come any sooner, I am ready to get away! Although I do not travel as often as I’d like I have found what my essentials truly are when it comes to weekend trips. The last thing I want to do is overpack for a few days away, so I have narrowed it down to a few items that are must haves for when I go away. All items are from Amazon, of course!
First one is the Berlinger Vintage Leather Duffle, this is such a great quality bag. It’s very spacious and fits all of the things I need to take on my trip and still have room for more. They also have a larger option that has a compartment for shoes at the bottom, also a really good choice! Packing cubes are my next essential. Even through I’m not packing much I still want it to be as organized as possible. Amazon has a ton of great options in different colors, sizes, and sets.
I’m cutting back on the amount of makeup I wear daily so I don’t need a very large cosmetic case for my makeup and skincare (check out my nighttime routine here). The cosmetic case I chose is the perfect size for the stuff I need to take with me. It’s clear, durable, and waterproof, a good buy to me! Right next to my makeup case I usually toss in my toothbrush holder, you can fit both your toothbrush and toothpaste.
In the same category as skincare and makeup I am also packing a foldable light up mirror. Comes in handy when there’s no mirrors in the place you are staying or if there are the lighting is terrible, so this solves both of those issues. Next essential are travel bottles. Most places offer shampoo/conditioner but in the event they don’t I make sure to pack my own. The set has four bottles and comes in a handy bag as well and they are also TSA approved.
A neck pillow and cozy blanket are also essentials in my opinion. Especially in long car rides. If you are like me who naps during long car rides, I suggest this cozy blanket. The neck pillow also comes with and eye mask, score!
The last couple of items I take with me packed on the side compartment of the duffle for easy grab. First is hand sanitizer, Touchland scents are amazing! My headphones are also packed, along with the charging station because I do not want to pack a ton of cords for my phone, headphones, and watch. Pill organizer, and last but not least my sunglasses!
