This weekend was a very busy one for me. Started with a work dinner Friday night at Anthonies Market Grill in Simonton, TX. This was an hour and a half of a drive for me. However, this was worth the drive. They have outdoor seating, live music, and wonderful service. The staff were so kind and helpful with any questions we had about the menu.
We started with a few drinks and appetizers then ordered our meals. We didn’t wait for long for our food to be brought out, which was so delicious. I had the boneless braised drunken short rib roast, paired with mashed potatoes and asparagus, *chef’s kiss*, it was absolutely perfect. I was already almost done with my meal by the time I thought of taking a picture of it. for dessert I had the creme brulee, also absolute perfection. It was not too sweet and not too plain.
On Saturday my sisters and I went for coffee at Pearland Coffee Roasters. I had the Southdown coffee; it was just what I needed for the chilly and windy morning we had that day. After our coffee’s we went to a few thrift stores. Hidden Treasures was one of the stops we made. They had so many fun and quirky things.
I ended the weekend with a trip to Home Depot. Where I found a beautiful Orchid! I usually leave with more than one plant but was strong this time. I also left with some random things we needed to restock on. How was your weekend? Tell me about it in the comments!
